Denise received her Master’s in Holistic Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and her Bachelor’s in Communication from San Jose State University. She uses a person-centered approach to therapy and believes each individual has the capacity for self-understanding and healing when given the proper tools.
Denise employs a strength-based approach in her practice and utilizes an eclectic variety of tools and techniques to help her clients obtain an authentic sense of self-empowerment and innate health while healing mind, body and spirit. She specializes in working with children, teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, codependency, self-esteem and other life challenges.
Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Denise is honored to support her clients with overcoming past traumas and PTSD.
Her background includes working with children in K-12 schools, Community Mental Health and helping families in the CPS system obtain stability and healing.
